Lamar Jackson didn’t show up for the teams organized team activities making it the 5th year for the former NFL MVP not showing up for the teams organized team activities.
The team hasn’t won the super bowl in those 5 years which makes it all that troubling that Lamar Jackson hasn’t felt the need to show up.
Die Hard Sports, dug in and did the research and discovered that no super bowl winner since 2000 has skipped the OTA’s prior to them winning the super bowl and went on to win the super bowl.
Why is that bad? Lamar is setting the team back by not showing up for OTA’s with a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator, and a new offense being implemented.
Lamar Jackson said when he got drafted “They’ll get a super bowl out of me”. That sounds like a rather motivating quote, but Lamar is showing from his actions that he’d rather not get on a plan to Baltimore and get in front of the team that he leads. This in effect sets the team back and makes it so we’ll be seeing some more growing pains at the start of the season and Lamar throwing his helmet on the ground as the turf at M&T Bank has been accustomed to.
You don’t have to go to OTA’s , but if you really meant what you said about winning a super bowl, wouldn’t you want to give it all you have?
