The Baltimore Ravens find themselves in a position to control their own destiny when it comes to winning the division this Saturday at home against the Cleveland Browns. A win on Saturday would secure the Ravens their second AFC North title in two years and guarantee that they have a home playoff game next weekend. Keep it eye on these below storylines as the next few days before the Ravens take the field on Saturday.
- Who will be under center for the Browns on Saturday?
When the Ravens lost to the Browns earlier in the season, Jameis Winston was the starter for the Browns. However, heading into this game the Browns have left the door open for either Dorian Thompson Robinson or Bailey Zappe to start. Being that the Browns have a chance to play spoiler if they beat the Ravens on Saturday. I would keep an eye on whether Jameis Winston practices because I wouldn’t count out Kevin Stefanski pulling a fast one and going with the quarterback in Winston who’s already proved he can win against this Ravens team earlier this year.
2. What Browns Starters will play on Saturday?
The Browns have an extensive list on injuries as Myles Garrett, Denzel Ward, and David Njoku all did not practice earlier this week. Keep an eye on the injury report today to see the status of these players as if they don’t practice today, there’s a high likelihood we won’t see all three take the field in their final game of the season.
3. Contract Incentives for Ravens Starters
Kyle Van Noy has 11.5 sacks on the year. If he can get one more sack on Saturday, it’s going to be an expensive sack for the Ravens as he will earn 250,000 if he reaches 12 sacks on the year. Keep an eye on Van Noy on Saturday as I’m sure he’ll be very motivated to get to the quarterback and add some more money in his pocket.
